Guided Meditations
Meditation in its simplest form is the ability to unplug from distractions and experience the present moment.
Simple formula
Identify the object of your attention: breath, mantra, sound, object - flickering candle
Let that focus go, consciously or subconsciously
Fall into the gap of peace and stillness
Recognize your thoughts without judgement
Bring it back to the object of your attention
Repeat
Additional tips
Get comfortable - in your bed, on the couch, yoga mat, in your car
Aim for 2 x day - first thing in the morning and second around 4pm
Second meditation of the day can really help you let go of your day to be present with your loved ones
When we meditate, we are training our brain
Show up every day, start with 2 minutes, keep adding on a minute each week
