The Full Background
I didn’t begin my journey picking kale from the backyard. Born in New York City and raised in Texas, I set my sights on a career in hotels. After earning my degree in Hotel Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, I worked for Four Seasons Hotels in Food & Beverage. It’s there that I developed a passion for service excellence. After a few years I was faced with a challenge – do I leave the hospitality industry and try something new? Ralph Lauren offered me a job I couldn’t turn down. So it was back to NYC. For the next 14 years I worked my way up the RL executive ladder to VP of HR, Retail Division, supporting 2,500 employees. My career was challenging, demanding, fast-paced, and I loved it! But, the rigors of my unhealthy lifestyle were taking a toll on my health.
I wanted to find love, and I did. I decided to take a break from corporate life and retire. And then I found a new passion – being a mom. I had always been into wellness, but now it was even more important – not just for me, but for my family.
Today my husband and our two young girls live between Mallorca, Boulder and Maui. We enjoy travel and are professional nomads. I’ve discovered the importance of keeping us grounded in daily routines, and the need to make positive lifestyle choices, no matter where we rest our heads at night.
